Kuggen

As a Bachelor’s thesis, my team designed and implemented a cooperative game for children within the autism spectrum.

Methods Used

  • Scrum
  • Requirements Gathering
  • Paper Prototyping
  • Player Testing

Kuggen is a game developed to utilize the schools’ digitization by encouraging children within the autism spectrum to cooperate and communicate with each other in a playful way.

A game prototype was developed in the programming language Swift. The prototype was tested with target users to see how the game was perceived.

During the project, held a driving position. I came up with several ideas for a game, including the one that was implemented. I also created the palette for the game and was deeply involved in the overall design, which was adapted to suit children within the autism spectrum. At the end of the project, I lead the playtest with children within the target group.
